WELLINGTON NORTH. Per Prese A««*>ciation. WELLINGTON, November 15. Following is the amended return for Wellington North:— Sir John Luke (R.) 5070 C. H. Chapman (L.) 5062 Majority for Luke 8 Mr Chapman on Wednesday night was credited with a majority of 60. through a package of 34 votes being credited to him instead of Sir John Luke. Absentee votes have still to be counted. AUCKLAND WEST. M. J. Savage (Labour) 4932 R. B.*Spiers (United) 3788 F. Adeane (Reform) 1921 Majority for Savage 1144. There are 839 absent votes to come. WAITEMATA. A. Harris (Reform) 4222 R. H. Greville (United) 3946 A. G. Osborne (Labour) 2304 Majority for Harris 276. There are 1096 absent votes to come. In Auckland East, where J. D. Donald (United) has a majority of 236 over J. A. Lee (Labour) there are 816 absent votes. In Grey Lynn where J. S. Fletcher (United) has a majority of 101 over F. N. Bar tram (Labour) there are 652 absent votes. In other Auckland districts absent votes can have no affect on the results. ■* GREY LYNN. The Grey Lynn result is doubtful. Mr Fletcher has a lead of 107 on the first count, but there are 544 absent votes, 67 postal votes and 64 seamen’s votes to be accounted for. BAY OF ISLANDS. H. M. Rush worth (Country) 3754 *A. Bell (Reform) 3673 R. E. Hornblow (Lib.-Lab.) 297 Absent votes number 297. WAIKATO. A total of 515 absent voters and forty-eight postal votes have yet to be counted, and may affect the result. F.
