MR F. M. ROBSON WILL REPRESENT LABOUR.

Mr F. M. Robson was nominated today as the Labour Party's candidate to fill the position on the City Council from which Mr G. R. Hunter has resigned- He was nominated by Councillor F. R. Cooke and Mr W. J. Green, secretary to the Canterbury Labour R e p r e s entation Committee. Mr Robson was the runner-up at the last municipal elections. He is secretary of the Boot Operatives’ Union. I As Mr W. H. Winsor has also been nominated for the vacancy, a contest is now assured, unless one candidate withdraws seven days before the date of the election. October 23 has been fixed as the date of the election.
