R.S.A. TO ORGANISE MEMBERSHIP DRIVE.

The fortnightly meeting of the executive was held on Monday evening, the following being present: Messrs Hayden (chairman), Emerson. Colquhoun, Drummond, Hoffman. Marshall. Chisnall, Boundy and the secretary. Captain Kingsford Smith. Lieutenant C. P. Ulxn and Messrs Litchfield and M’Williams wrote thanking the association for the greenstone mementoes recently presented to them. Three letters of thanks were received n connection with cases recently dealt with at the Appeal Board. The Navy League wrote asking the association to forward a wreath to thfe Cathedral on Nelson Day, October 20. It was decided to accede to their reauest. Headquarters, N.Z.R.S.A., forwarded the itinerary of Lord Lovat, who is visiting New Zealand. Three members of the executive were appointed to represent the association at any public function which may be held. A deputation was received from the Miniature Rifle Club, when several matters affecting the club were discussed, and satisfactory results achieved. The sum of £lO was received from an anonymous donor to assist the association in its work in relieving distress. The secretary reported that the membership at September SO was 1058. It was decided to call a meeting of members interested at an early date to organise a membership drive.
