EAST CHRISTCHURCH SWIMMING CLUB WANTS CHAMPIONSHIP. EVENTS.

The annual meeting of the East onristciuiicn Amateur Swimming Club was held on Monday evening, the presi‘mair (i>lr occupying, the Moving the adoption of the annual report and baiance-sheet, the chairman congratulated the club on its successful season. . A credit balance of £29 4s 4d was shown in the financial statement On the motion of Mr A- L. Taylor Mr C. Atkinson was elected a life-mem-ber of the club. Mr H. Patton, an old member of the club, was welcomed back from Auckland. The annual carnival date was fixed for December 19 in the Tepid Baths The club decided to ask for the following championship events from the Canterbury Centre of the New Zealand Amateur * Swimming Association: lOuyds, 440yds. 230yds, 100yds Junior, 50yds junior, intermediate girls’ and men’s dive.
