MAN ADMITS FORGERY OF THREE CHEQUES.
Per Press Association. NEW PLYMOUTH. October 2. In the Police Court this morning. George Edward Bernsee, alias Nilsott, pleaded guilty to three charges of forging and uttering cheques in the name of A. M. Coyne, an Inglewood farmer who had employed him.' When leaving Coyne’s employ, he stol6 fouV blank cheques, three of whiefi he h&d passed- The fourth was found in his possession when arrested at Hamilton. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court at Wellington for sentence, And was also remanded to Dannevirke on a charge of forging and uttering a cheque there in April.
