Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, October 2. The trouble at Upper Hutt with regard to petrol pump installations on the kerbside has been settled by the garage proprietors themselves instituting an insurance scheme by which they undertake to indemnify the Borovtgh Council against liabilitv in case of accident. The council considers the scheme sound and has agreed to jt. The petrol companies refused to indemnify the council and the proprietors were in consequence threatened with the loss of the pumps.
