CAPTAIN FINDLAY FORCED TO DESCEND NEAR CONWAY RIVER.

* r 'HE Tasman flyers returned lo Christchurch from Blenheim yesterday afternoon, after a rough passage of two hours and thirty-five minutes. Captain .1. L. Findlay, who had with him Mr H. A. Litchfield, the navigator of the Southern Cross, as a passenger, was forced to make a landing at the mouth of the Conway River, owing to a minor engine defect. He made a first-class landing, neither occupants nor machine suffering injury.
