SOCCER CONTROL IN AUCKLAND.

(Special to the “ Star.”) AUCKLAND, August 23. In discussing the suggested amalgamation with the Auckland Football Association the City and Suburban Football Association remained strictly in committee. No indication has been given of the opinions regarding linking up with the original Soccer control in Auckland, but a statement will probably be made this week. The City and Suburban body was formed separately from the Auckland Association two months ago, as the outcome of the Thistle Club dispute. The new body sought affiliation with the Scottish Association, and conducted separate contests. Four clubs. Thistle, Bon Acord, Richmond and Celtic, are under its control, and about seventy players are governed.
