FIVE PERISH IN U.S. LIVE WIRE TRAGEDY.
FOUR DIE IN VAIN ATTEMPT TO ASSIST FIRST MAN CAUGHT.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (Received August 23. 11.30 a.m.) VANCOUVER, August 22. A message from Phoenix, Arizona, states that Richard Miller left home at midnight to post a letter in a corner mailbox. He stumbled over a highvoltage wire brought down after a heavy Yvindstorm. Ilis screams brought his wife and son to his assistance, but all three perished. Wesley Miller, another son, sought help, returning with a neighbour, Carl Meeks. They attempted to draw’ the bodies from the wire, and were themselves electrocuted. All five were dead when the police Service.
