SERIOUS CHARGES AGAINST YOUTHS NOT GONE ON WITH
CROWN ASKS FOR STAY OF PROCEEDINGS.
In the Supreme Court this morning, the Crown Prosecutor (Mr A. T. Donnelly) asked for a 3tay of proceedings in the remaining cases in which five yourfg men were charged with carnal knowledge of a girl under sixteen. “After consideration I have decided to ask for a stay of proceedings,” said Mr Donnelly. His Honor: Yes, that seems to be the proper course. (Proceeding.)
