TRADES COUNCIL PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE MR DRAYTON.
Appreciation of the stand which 4he late Mr A. F. Drayton took up m cooperation with the Labour representatives on the Citizens’ Unemployment Committee in regard to the payment of standard wpges to.men engaged on olief works in the city was expressed at the meeting of the Canterbury Trades and Labour Council on Saturday night. A motion of condolence with the relatives of Mr Drayton was carried in silence, the members standing.
