SHOW VERY GOOD SAYS, VISITOR FROM NORTH.
SEES EXHIBITS THAT ARE CREDITABLE.
The general outlay of the Winter Show is very good, but it would be better still if the exhibits were better arranged, and more classified. This is the impression the Show in ado to-day on Mr G. Finn, president of the Auckland Manufacturers' Association. lie suggests that it would have been an improvement if all the boots and the •copperwarc and tinware, for instance, were placed together. In that way, each section, occupying some 50 or CO feet, -would be more impress!ve. The Christchurch Show is on a much smaller scale than the Auckland, one, “but you have some decidedly good exhibits.” Mr Finn said. Amongst these he includes some boots, tea, copperwarc, ranges, biscuits and confectionery,'and one or .two furniture exhibits. The home industries display appeals to, him,as being very creditable". He .describes the Ashburton Court as outstanding. lie; praises the district court,, and was surprised to learn that it Avas prepared in only five weeks; preparations for the district court in Auckland extended over twelve months.
