SPLIT THREATENED IN REFORM VOTE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, August 18. The Reform vote in Wellington East is threatened with being split as the resultr of an announcement of a contestant against Mr Forsyth. In response to a largely signed petition, Mr J. J. Clark, of Kilbimie, a well-known resident, and a prominent officer of the Reform League, has consented to stand in "the Reform interests. The sitting member declines to submit to a selection ballot.
