A scene on Fame Islands, a group of seventeen islets and rocks off the wild coast of Northumberland, separated from the mainland by a channel about two miles wide. Here millions of birds make their home, and can be seen standing shoulder to shoulder on the tops and ledges of the rocks. These birds are under the protection of “ The Wild Birds Protection Society,” who employ watchers to sec that the birds are not molested during nesting time. Guillemots on the pinnacles.
