Mr and Mrs S. I. Fitch, Waimate, are visiting Christchurch. Mrs B. B. Wood, of Christchurch, at present in Rotorua, ■will visit Auckland before returning south. Miss Ruth Innes-Jones. who was the guest of Mrs Cecil Wood in Christchurch, has returned to Wellington. •Mr and Mrs James Grant. Grey’s Hills, have returned to Timaru from Christchurch.

Mr and Mrs Howard Tripp. V\ ai-iti Road. Timaru. returned to the south from Christchurch to-day.

Mr and Mrs E. C. Studholme, Waimate, returned south from Christchurch on Tuesday.

Mr and Mrs Roger Gorton, Waiau, are the guests of Mrs Gorton, Esplanade, Sumner.

Miss Helen Cotterill, Sefton Street, Timaru. left to-day to take part in the West Coast golf tournament.

Miss Hilda Edgar is returning from Oamaru to-morrow, and will stay with Mrs Harold Edgar, Armagh Street West.

The members of the Christchurch Architectural Students’ Association met yesterday to say farewell to Miss Beryl Bickerton, who is leaving Wellington on Saturday for England to continue her studies in architecture at the Architectural Association, London. The chairman, Mr E. T. Dowling, wished her the best of luck and prosperity in the future. Mr G. A. J. Hart, in presenting Miss Bickerton with a travelling writing case on behalf of the members of the Students’ Association, wished her bon voyage and every success in England. Miss Bickerton feelinglv replied. Miss Bickerton, the only lady student of architecture in Christchurch, has been studying at the School of Art and' Canterbury College. She has been in the office of Messrs Collins and Harman for the past three years, and since 1926 has been a keen member of the association, holding the position of librarian for the past year.
