TINWALD SCHOOL COMMITTEE RESIGNS.

BOARD LEAVES MATTER IN SECRETARY’S HANDS. The Canterbury Education Board today received the resignation of every member of the Tinwald School Committee (nine in number), following differences of opinion between the board and householders. When the resignations came before the board, Mr C: S. Thompson said: “Are any reasons given? There must be some reason for nine men to send in their resignations. Why not hold over acceptance of the resignations?” The chairman (Mr W. 11. Winsor) said: “Left to the secretary,” and the board went on to other business.
