TRAINING COLLEGE TOURNEY ENDS.
AUCKLAND STUDENTS DEFEAT WELLINGTON. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON. August 17. A football match at Athletic Park this morning concluded the annual tournament between the Auckland and Wellington Training Colleges. Bad weather interfered considerably with the sports event?, and the match this morning was only a scratch one, the sides being selected from players of both colleges. Auckland, by winning the ladies’ hockey, the men’s hockey, the boxing and the basketball, are the winners of the tourney and secure the Milne Memorial Bowl. Wellington won the Waghorn Vase for debating. The Auckland team left this afternoon.
