OWNER OF BUSINESS HAD NARROW ESCAPE.
TRIED TO LOCATE SEAT OF BLAZE. Per Prr SS Association. BLENHEIM. July 24. This morning Mr F\ W. Dodson’s aerated water factory, an old wooden structure, was destroyed by fire. Mr Dodson had some difficulty, after attempting to locate the seat of the outbreak. in escaping. The brigade was promptly on the scene, but there was no hope from the beginning. The building housed a quantity of valuable machinery and stocks of essences. The l uilding was insured * or an d the plant and material for £270 in the Eagle Star and British Dominions office. The owner suffers heavy loss.
