FOUR ACCIDENTS OCCUR IN CITY.
WOMAN KNOCKED OFF BICYCLE IN FRONT OF MOVING TRAMCAR.
A t four accidents involving have occurred in the city during the past three days. During the storm in the early hours of Thursday morning, a motor-car was badly damaged in Chancellor Street. Shirley, when it skidded on rounding a corner. The same evening, a Ford and a Buick collided at the corner of Hereford and Manchester Streets, the Ford going “ down on its knees,” both front wheels being torn off.
Yesterday afternoon, a young lady, Miss Alcock, was knocked off her bicycle at the intersection of Colombo and Lichfield Streets by colliding with a motor-car. Miss Alcock fell immediately in front of a moving tram-car. the driver of which averted a much more serious accident by stopping a foot or two short of the girl. Her bicycle was badly damaged.
Another smash, involving three car::, occurred last evening at the corner of Hereford Street and Oxford Terrace. All the cars were badly damaged.
