(Special to the “Star.") WELLINGTON*, June 23. A man was fined by Mr Page. S.M., yesterday, for killing a gannet at. Muritai without authority. The defendant said that he did not know it was an ! offence. He was then informed that | this bird and all tea birds are absoi luJely protected.
