FANCY DRESS BALL.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. The Children’s Pancv Dress Ball Coirimittee met last night; present— The Mayoress, Mrs f. K. Archer (in the chair). Mesdames H. S. S. Kyle, H. T. J. Thacker. M. Prendergast, J. S. Neville, A. J. Benzie. 11. Wyatt, J. C. Holmes and H. H. Wauchop, Miss Undrill and Mr E. Poison. The programme for the children’s ball to be held on Saturday afternoon was decided upon, as follows;—Grand march at 2.45 p.m., marshals, Messrs C. Throp and M. Prendergast; Item by Miss Bessie M’Donald’s pupils; dance for the children; item by Messrs Verazoni and Collins: dance for the children; item by Miss M’Donald’s pupils. It was decided that the ten prizes, five for the girls and five for the boy's, should be presented by the Mayoress. The secretary reported that the official visitors taking part in the .motor drive would probably make a call at the function on returning to the city. It was decided that the committee should hold a meeting at the Winter Garden on Saturday morning to complete the arrangements.
