Hope is held out for some of the remaining 130 entombed men, with the discovery of a miner, named Frank Bucsha, who was found sitting on a rail.

“Where have you been?” he asked. “I have been here three days now. 3 f you had not come soon something would have choked me.” He had sufficient strength left to leave the stretcher upon reaching the surface. Relief squads are working frantically. —Australian Press Association.
