Baja Omerovic and Ivan Makstimovic, two notorious Serbian criminals, who were sentenced to be hanged fiftyeight times, have been sentenced to imprisonment for 160 years apiece. They broke gaol and committed many atrocities after being sentenced In 1924, and were recaptured. The sentences conform to the Hungarian code, providing for a separate sentence for every offence.—Australian Press Association—United Service.
