Entries for the sixty-first annual show conducted by the Christchurch ! Poultry, Pigeon, Canary and Cat Club i will close this evening. The Arthur’s Pass district is enjoying perfect weather at present, heavy frost and brilliant days being the rule. All the peaks in the district are coated with snow and the wonderful scenery is all the more attractive in this winter setting. Passengers by to-morrow’s railway excursion to Otira will have the opportunity of seeing Arthur’s Pass and the Otira Gorge under winter conditions without having to walk through snow, as will probably be the case in the next month or two. The excursion train will be steam-heated and passengers are assured of a comfortable journey to and from the mountains. When children are restless give them WADE’S WORM FIGS. Safe, sure and pleasant.
