SYDNEY, May IS At the Leichhardt Stadium Lachie M'Donald (New Zealand), list lflb. knocked out Gordon Kielv, list 541 b, in the sixth round of a fifteen rounds contest for the Middle-weight championship of Axistralia. M'Donald forced the fighting from the commencement and in the third round attacked strongly. In the following round he almost had Kiely out with a heavy right to the jaw, the gong saving him. Towards the end of the fifth roxind Kiely was .again floored and in the sixth he was dropped for nine with -a similar punch. When he rose M’Donald again connected with a heavy right to the jaw and the referee stopped the contest, declaring the New Zealander the winner.— Australian Press Association.
