OBJECTION TAKEN TO - PUBLISHED STATEMENT. Ter Tress Association. ELTHAM, May 2. A caste of alleged libel, G. V. P. Fitzgerald v. Blundell Brothers and the “ New Zealand Dairyman,” was heard in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, before Mr Tate, S.M. Plaintiff is manager of the New Zealand Co-operative Rennet Company, rennet manufacturers, of Elfham, and claims £259 damages against defendants, jointly and severally, as printers and publishers, in respect to certain statements contained in the issue of the “ Dairyman ” of February 20, 1928, alleging inferiority of standard in the company’s product in comparison with that produced by overseas competitors, and lack of scientific knowledge and facilities by plaintiff. The case occupied all day. Decision was reserved.
