FINES IMPOSED ON 338 MINERS.
participated in illegal strike. WESTPORT. May 2. In the Magistrate’s Court this morning 338 miners were proceeded against by the Inspector of Awards for committing a breach of the Labour Disputes Investigation Act by participating in an allegal strike. They were fined an aggregate of £159 10s, plus costs.
