‘‘lf the Canterbury Progress League had done nothing but produce its reading report it would haye justified its existence,” said Mr C. J. Talbot, counties’ representative on the Main Highways Board, at the conference yesterday afternoon. ‘‘The league has co-ordi-nated the interests of all concerned in the making of roads, and has been instrumental in presenting a full and j well-considered report.”
