GEORGE M'QL'AY, DERELICT OF WAR, LEAVES FOR HIS HOME IN NEW ZEALAND ON FRIDAY

(United Tress Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.? (Received May 2, 11.0 a.m.)

SYDNEY, May 2. APATHETIC REUNION occurred between George M’Quav and his mother from New Zealand at Callan Park Mental

Asylum. M’Quay was formerly of the New Zealand forces and has been missing for thirteen years, since Gallipoli. They talked together and recalled incidents. Doctors think that M’Quay’s mental condition will gradually improve. Mother and son are leaving for New Zealand on Friday.— Australian Press Association.

Branded missing for thirteen years, during most of which time he was the inmate of mental hospitals. George M'Qua'y was recently identified as a Taranaki soldier. In addition to the fact that he had lost his memory and was known by the name of Brown, identification was made more difficult by the fact that his incorrect number was registered at Base Records.
