CHRYSANTHEMUM SHOW IS HELD AT SUMNER.
The Sumner Presbyterian Church held its annual chrysanthemum show and sale of work in the Town Hall yesterday. The whole. display was of veryhigh quality, and in spite of the wet weather there was a good attendance. Mr W. H. Nicholson, Mayor of Sumner, opened the show. A large white bloom shown by Mr W. Higham won the Topping Cup for the champion bloom grown in Sumner, and the Newburgh Shield for the premier bloom in the show. Master Norman Chapman won the Gillanders Cup for most points in the show, the Cunningham Cup for the children’s class, and the Graham Cup for boys under eighteen years.
