CROSS-WORD PUZZLE-954.
The numbered squares are the statrling points for words extending asross of down, or both. One letter to a square. Words end at first black square encountered or border of puzzle. Pick out a word that fits a given definition and space. This gives you a clue to other words that cross it, and they in turn to still other words. The solution will appear in next issue.
