SHARKEY GIVES K.O. TO DELANEY.

PUTS OPPONENT OUT IN FIRST ROUND. (United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) NEW YORK, May 1. In the presence of the crew of the "Bremen,” Sharkey knocked out Delaney, the former light heavv-weight champion, in one minute thirteen seconds, in the first round of a scheduled fifteen-round bout. Delaney was unable to touch Sharkey once. Sharkey, who was fiercely aggressive, states that he will continue to fight his own wav, “and win the championship yet.” Delaney appeared to be badly hurt. Heeney had an ovation from the crowd when he appeared in the ring. —Australian Press Association.
