LAVA FLOWS FROM ISLAND.

VIOLENT ERUPTION IS REPORTED. (Special to the “ Star.”) WELLINGTON, April 30. The Marine Department has received the following radio message from Captain Bollons, of the Tutanekai:— “ While en route from- Auckland to Samoa passed Falcon Island on Thursday afternoon. The island is in violent eruption. Lava is flowing down both sides into the sea. The island is now two miles long in N.N.E. and S.S.W. direction, and 550 ft in height.”
