PRISONERS APPEAR IN SUPREME COURT.

AUCKLAND, April 30

In the Supreme Court Frank Henry Guhl, on eight charges of false pretences and seven of breaking, entering and theft, was sentenced to two years’ hard labour on each charge, the sentences to be concurrent. James Bruce Miller, who had been cashing valueless cheques in various parts of the Dominion, was remanded to appear at Wellington on May 4 for sentence.
