The well-known North Canterbury property. Mount Cass, Waipnra. was sold by public auction to-day for £l3 an acre, the purchaser being Mr George Gould. Bidding started at £lO. The property contains 1412 acres and has a six-roomed residence and other buildings situated upon it. The property belonged to Mr E. S. Taylor. The sale was conducted by Pyne. Gould, Guinness, Ltd, in conjunction with Dalgety and Co., Ltd.
