BRILLIANT COMEDY SHOWN AT GRAND.
Most people are content to take the Garden of Eden for granted and let it remain in their minds as the first home of our original father and mother. Not so Toni Lebrun, the little Budapest singer, who determined that her Garden of Eden was in Paris and set her face resolutely to win her way there. Corinne Griffith has herself directed the film adaptation of the stage play. As an emotional actress Corinne Griffith is in the first flight, but as a comedienne she is outstanding and in this latest effort she is irresistible. Her portrayal of the little singer is nothing short of masterly. To the screen she brings a piquant, lovable heroine, whose brilliant personality makes her the centre of Europe’s world of pretty women and handsome men. An excellent musical programme is contributed by the Grand Quality Orchestra.
