COMEDIES COMPRISE BILL AT CRYSTAL
Those who like something humorous in pictures will find a great deal to please them at the Crystal Palace Theatre this week. The principal picture is " Her Wild Oat,” in which the leading role is taken by that popular actress. Colleen Moore. In this Colleen Moore does some of the best work of her career. She is the life and soul of the story and she demonstrates that she is one
of the best comediennes of the screen. The supporting cast is a particularly strong one. Ilallam Cooley and Gwen Lee have leading parts. “Her Wild Oat” is more lavishly mounted than most comedies of this class, and the witty sub-titles add considerably to the humour of the picture. The second comedy is a picture entitled “ Millionaires.” This film, which can aptly be described as one long laugh, is founded on the story “The Inevitable Millionaires,” by E. Phillips Oppenheim. The leading roles are played by those capable funmakers, George Sidney and Louise Fazenda, and, as can well be imagined with these two in the principal parts, there is no lack of uproarious hilarity. An interesting gazette film also is screened, and, under the leadership of Mr Alfred Bunz, a suitable programme of incidental music is played by the orchestra.
