PRESSED FOR MONEY, CLERK FORGED BANK RECEIPTS FOR £l9l.

I’er Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 26. Four charges of forging Post Office Savings Bank receipts and causing them to be acted upon as genuine were preferred against Gordon Lewis Keene, aged thirty-three, in the Magistrate's Court to-day. The amount involved was £l9l. Ernest Alfred Anderson stated that he left his bank book at the office of Sir Kenneth Douglas, where accused was employed. Some time later ,he called to collect the book, but it could* not ’be found. Accused admitted stealing the book. He said that he was pressed for money. He was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
