MRS BENNETT ALSO ILL IN HOSPITAL.
AIRMAN TO BE BURIED IN NATIONAL CEMETERY. (United Press Assn.—r-By Electric Telegraph—Copyright.) (Received April 26. 12.30 p.m.) OTTAWA, April 25. Bennett’s wife, who is ill in the hospital where her husband died, is prostrated. She is suffering with tonsilitis and general breakdown as a result of her ordeal. Commander Byrd is making the funeral arrangements. The city flags are at half mast. Commander Byrd announced later that he agreed with the plans of the Navy Department, at Washington, for the burial of Floyd Bennett at. Arlington National on Friday. The body leaves on Thursday, and will be escorted to tlie station with fuli military honours. Commander Byrd also announced that his South Polar ’plane will be named the Floyd Bennett Memorial ’Plane.—Australian Press Association.
