Empire Shopping. * VANCOUVER, April 24. Supporting the Empire Shopping Week, Major A. E. Pollard. Trade Commissioner in Western Canada, asserted that Australia, New Zealand and South Africa imported as much from Britain as five European countries, with five times their population. OTTAWA, April 24. A message from Winnipeg states that 2000 unemployed paraded the streets bearing banners and demanding work or full maintenance. Alderman Fylc declared that there would be serious trouble unless the men were taken care of. lii the Ottawa House of Commons Mr J S. Wordsworth called attention to the trouble.
