ANZAC DAT XW LONDON. LONDON, April 25. The Australians’ and New Zealanders’ joint celebration of Anzao Day was most successful. Wreaths were laid on the Cenotaph by the General Sir G. do* L. KyVie and Sir James l'arr and also by Sir 11. L. Galway and Colonel Clegg on behalf of the Little Big Brothers, and by Lady Forster, on behalf of the Victorian League. There were also wreaths from the Returned Soldiers’ Associations in all States. General Ryrie addressed ex-dig-gers at Australia House. The service at St Clement Danes was crowded. A wreath was laid on the war shrine. The Rev Mullineux officiated and Sir James Parr read the lessons. Miss Stella Murray, of Christchurch, sang the authem. EXCITIN& CAB. CHASE. AUCKLAND, April 26. A- car valued at £SOO disappeared from Auckland this morning and was recovered within two hours after an exciting chase. Constable Johnson's suspicions were aroused as the car approached the Mangere bridge (he had been rung up and informed of the theft)IJo challenged the driver to stop, but the car crossed.
