NELSON COLLEGE OLD BOYS HOLD REUNION
Old Bovs of Nelson College now resident in Christchurch held a reunion on Tuesday night, at the Dorothy Tea Rooms. Mr T. H Williams, president of the Christchurch Branch of the association, presided over a full attendance. Mr Frank Milner, Rector of the Waitaki Boys’ High School, ami a member of the association, was also present. Mr Milner, who proposed the toast of “The College,” spoke of the enjoy ment the life of the college had given him, and of the immense debt he owed the college. Next to Christ’s College. Nelson College was the oldest secondary’ school in the Dominion. The high traditions of the founders and first masters had been well borne out by the succeeding generations. Many ol the scholars had played prominent and honourable parts in public life in New Zealand. Mr 11. R. Biggar replied. Other toasts y/ere: “The Masters. ’ proposed by Mr J. Dart, and responded to by the Rev Owen Williams; “Kindred Associations” (Mr L. A. Ben nett, and Mr T. Milliken, Mr J. Cottrell, Mr W. A. Brodie), and “Fallen Old Boys.” Items were given by Messrs J. R Lester, R. Buxton. W. A. Brodie, and Sutherland's Orchestra.
