CAPTAIN LOSES CERTIFICATE FOR SIX MONTHS.
(United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) SYDNEY, April 24. The Marine Court delivered judgment after the inquiry into the loss of the steamer Iron Chief. The Court found the charge against Captain Barron sustained, that he showed carelessness in navigating the vessel and that the navigation of the vessel generally showed over-confidence on the part of the master and lack of appreciation of his responsibilities as master. Therefore, the Court suspended his certificate for six months from April I.—Australian Press Association.
