MAN FALLS FROM WINDOW OF HOTEL; FRACTURES HIS JAW.

S. Binney, a middle-aged man. who resides at 39, Mersey Street, St Albans, lost his balance and fell to the pavement from the window of a first floor room at the Clarendon Hotel at 1.15 on Monday morning. He sustained a compound fracture of the jaw. The accident was noticed by a person in the hotel and the ambulance was summoned. The injured man was removed to the Christchurch Hospital, where an operation was performed yesterday. It was reported this morning that Binney's condition had improved.
