ARRANGEMENT MADE FOR POPPY SALE.
A very enthusiastic meeting of ladies was held in the Jellicoe Hall on Monday afternoon, Mrs 11. T. J. Thacker presiding. Arrangements were completed for the sale of poppies on Friday next, the following stands being allotted:—Cook and Ross’S corner, Cambrian Society; Bercsford, Mrs Jellet and helpers; Cathedral Square and shelter shed. Navy League; Post Office, Mrs IT. T. J. Thacker, assisted by Mrs J. C. Holmes and Harbour Light girls; Chancery Lane. Mrs Kesteven; Bank of New Zealand, Sister M’Murtric and Mrs Benzie (afternoon) ; Barnett’s corner, Mrs Monro and helpers: Barlow's corner, W.C.T.U. (Mrs R. Day); City Triangle, Mrs Sprosen; Robb's corner. Kindergarten students; Tattcrsall’s, Mrs Fleck and helpers: Clock Tower, the Mayoress, Mrs Archer; Bank cf Australasia, Mrs P. R. Climie and helpers; Ballantyne’s corner, Victoria League.
