BOWLING.
MID-WEEK RINKS TOURNEY. The annual rinks tournament promoted by the mid-week players in the various clubs in the city was held yesterday on the Christchurch and Sydenham greens, twenty-four rinks taking part. Each rink played four games, and the gueen winners were then announced. On the Christchurch green the winners were the Christchurch Club rink: A. Boyd, A. H. Holmes, W. S. Atkinson and S. F. Barnett (s.) This rink won all four games played. On the Sydenham green the United Club rink won on points. Five rinks won three games each and the green winner was decided upon the aggregate points scored. The United rink led with 79 points, bteing 11 up on its nearest competitor. The rink consisted of W. N. Seay, W. Banks, T. Reese and W. Hall (s.). The final game will be played on Tuesday, March 27, on the Edgeware green, between Hall’s rink (United) and S. Barnett's rink (Christchurch). UNITED CLUB. Following are rinks to represent the United Club in matches on Saturday:— V. Christchurch, at .Christchurch — Campbell, Ranger. Reed and Dr Marks; Irwin, Mitchell, Hall and Smith: Round, Garrigan, Poison and Billcliff: H. Harrison, Banks, F. M. Brown and Reeste. V. Christchurch, at United—Dunn, A. Johnson, Middleton and T. Thomson; King. Cooper, Russell and Brown, jun.; Baxter, Stephens, P. C. Jones and Taylor; Crozier, Hay, Rogers and FreeCASHMERE CLUB. The following rinks will represent the Cashmere Club in friendly games on Saturday:— V. Linwood, at Linwood—Bowron, Dobbs, Jacobsen and Danks; Faville, P. Graham, Hardcastle and Harris; Berrow, Young-, Mosley and Morrison; Wade, Shanks, Anderson and Pearce; Saddler, Tomkinson, Kastie and Hollis. V. Linwood, at Cashmere —Seymour, Widdowson, Waller anrl Bruce; Baker, Rainey, Casbolt and Wilson. / SYDENHAM CLUB. The following teams will represent the Sydenham Bowling Club in friendly games next Saturday:V. Kaiapol W.M.C., at Sydenham— Hammond, Fisk, Kent, J. Coombs (s.); Hopkirk, Armstrong, Rawllnson. Freeman (s.); Bassett, Barnett, Dickenson, M’Kenzie (s.). V. Barrington, at Barrington Street— Munday, Cornish, M’Keon. Garth (s.); Goodwin, Copplestone, Dunn, Faulkner (s ); Rodda, C. Kent, Merriman, Madsen (s.). KAIAPOI CLUB. In the final of the Kaiapol Working Men’s Club singles championship played on Monday evening, J. Brown 15 beat J. A. Mealings 12.
