Chemists in Christchurch wish to close thier shops on Sundays, and have sent a requisition to the Labour Department for the necessary permission. In the event of the Department sanctioning the proposal the public would be catered for on Sundays by the allnight dispensary. Probably the hours of th dispensary would be from 10 a.m. to noon, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. on Monday. To-morrow the Art Society's annual show will contain an additional exhibit which should be of interest at. the pre sent time. Mr Hurst Seager has supplied an interesting series of photographic examples of gallery interiors. They present a most interesting series of views taken in well-known galleries. They will offer refreshing insights into the contents of these places, and the travelled public will see again many I old friends on the photographed walls.
