Sir Henry Page Croft, M.P., speaking to Glasgow business men recently, said: “I would like to see the number of millionaires doubled, trebled and multiplied by ten, for two reasons: A millionaire pays far more than his fair share of taxation, and to that extent relieves me—(Laughter.)—secondly, a man who can create a great fortune out of a British industry is paying large sums in wages year by year to British workers.”*
