Sponsored by Mr R. C. Wallhead and nine Labour members, a Bill has been introduced in the House of Commons designed to prevent unemployment. It proposes that a national board, cdlTsTSfTng” of eleven members of Cabinet and Departmental heads, should make advances from a fund of ten millions sterling yearly, to be expended here or elsewhere in the Empire to promote developmental employment, including land, mines and roads. —Aust. and N.Z. —United Service.
