Everybody has heard or read of silver, golden and diamond weddings. A new expression has been coined by the French to designate the seventieth anniversary of a marriage. This is known as the radium wedding. An old couple, Monsieur and Madame Clerjaud, who were both born in T 836, in a small town in the department of the Charente, have just celebrated this important- event.
